Lesson Review:  FIND THE PHRASE Game

This lesson review game is similar to the T. V. game show “Wheel of Fortune”.  The goal of the game is to be the first team to guess the phrase.     Make transparencies or draw lines on the black board to represent the letters and the words of the secret phrase.  Divide class into two teams.   Alternate asking questions to each team.  When the member of the team correctly answers a question, their team gets 100 points and that person may choose a letter of the alphabet.  If that letter is present in the secret message, the teacher takes a black marker or chalk and writes the letter on the appropriate line or lines.  Award 50 bonus points each time the letter of the alphabet that they pick appears in the phrase.    Only on their turn, a team may decide to guess the secret message rather than receive a question.   If they guess correctly, their team earns 300 bonus points.  If their answer is incorrect their team loses 200 points.  Team at the end with the most points wins.
