Free Puppet Shows

On this page you will find free puppet shows to educate and entertain your children’s ministry or outreach program.  The page is in early stages, so check back frequently to see if new puppet shows have been added.

Puppet shows are the life of the party!  When puppets talk, kids listen.

Puppets add joy to the children’s ministry and they are a lot of fun for the children’s ministry workers to operate.  Often you see a completely different side of your workers when you put them behind a puppet.  People who  may seem stern to the kids become fun to be with when you put them behind a puppet.

Puppet ministry is a great ministry for teenagers.

There is no need for memorization.  Pin the script to the back of the curtain and read as you operate the puppet.

If you need to build a puppet stage there are 2 free puppet stage plans under the free resources tab of this website.

Puppet shows like these form a part of every lesson in the Rocksolid Bible Story Curriculum series.

HAVE FUN!

Tips for Good Puppetry:
1. Open and close the puppets mouth on every word syllable. Make sure the puppet’s mouth is moving when you are talking.
2. Practice voices for a little girl, little boy, man, woman, old man, old woman, and devil.
3. Exaggerate all emotions.
4. Make sure the puppet is facing the kids. It is easy to forget the position of the puppet when you are concentrating on reading your lines. Make sure your arm inside the puppet is up tall and straight. People have the tendency to let their arm droop.
5. Puppets should enter and exit the puppet stage as if they are ascending and descending a set of stairs.
