Rocksolid Bible Story Curriculum is based upon the following beliefs:
1. The scriptures Genesis through Revelation are the inspired Word of God. The scriptures show us God’s standards for our lives, teach us principles to live by and give us practical help. Each lesson is based upon a principle learned from a bible account.
2. Jesus is the Son of God come in the flesh. He died by crucifixion and was raised from death three days later. He took the punishment for our sin. Faith in his sacrifice gives us eternal life and puts us into rightstanding with God.
3. Jesus will come back to earth one day and those who have received him, will rise to meet him in the air. We should live ready to meet the Lord at any time.
4. Each person needs to believe and receive Jesus as their saviour. The lessons lead children to personal faith in Christ.
5. The Holy Spirit was poured out as described in the book of Acts, Chapter 2 and He is still among us. Believers need to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to have power to be witnesses for Jesus.
6. God is good and the devil is bad. The lessons are geared to teach children that our true enemy is not people, but the devil. We should recognize his tactics and give no place to the devil.
7. There is a Heaven and there is a Hell. We will be accountable for the life we have been privileged to live on this earth.
