BIBLE STORY CURRICULUM BY ROCKSOLID – WELCOME

Bible Story Curriculum Rocksolid is a provider of bible stories for kids in multiple languages and Sunday School curriculum.  We also have free children’s ministry resources such as puppet making instructions, puppet stage plans and short term summer outreach programs.

Bible Stories for Kids film strip

Digital downloadable children’s church curriculum volumes containing 13 lessons each.

Children’s ministry is so much easier when the curriculum being presented is meaty (meat of the Word of God) humorous and has fun filled games.   Each Sunday School lesson has one theme, and the same theme is presented in the teaching time, puppet show, skit and object lesson.  There should be no confusion when the children leave as to what they learned that day.

The children retain so much more of the bible stories when they can see pictures at the same time. The stories are written in such a way that children can relate to the characters and many of them are humorous.  The text is based on the King James version of the bible (slightly paraphrased).

The point of the stories and the lessons is not just to learn the details, but to understand the principles, and to be able to apply them in our own lives.

Each Bible Story Curriculum Lesson Includes:

Order of Service, Cartoon Bible Story (available as a power point, a pdf file and jpeg pictures which can be printed or imported to whatever graphics program you use – 10 to 15 pictures) (some lessons have links to videos), Teaching Time Outline, Puppet Show, Skit, Object Lesson, Memory Verse Games, Review Game and Questions, Memory Verse Handout and Teaching Tips.

Children’s Church Curriculum Testimonials for Rocksolid Bible Story Curriculum

“The content in your curriculum couldn’t be any better than it is as far as I am concerned. It is well worth the money and you are not charging a lot at all. Also once purchased the church can re-use it, which I think is more fair to purchasers.  I like the idea that any changes can be made before printing. It is absolutely excellent!”

From Grace V., The Life Centre, Burlington, Ontario.

“I love the pictures (Kids do too) and its great to have a library of these and to use them for different messages. Great idea and I am looking forward to the coming products!”

Judy H., Children’s Pastor – Concord First Assembly

“Rocksolid Kids Curriculum has definitely met our children’s church needs and we have been very pleased with it. Thanks!”

~Brad W., Kingsway Christian Church, Omaha, NE

“Two weeks ago we celebrated our one year birthday of Rocksolid at Bethany Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. We had a BIG party!  We had previously not had a program on Wednesdays for children.  Now we are using Rocksolid, and it is working out very well. I feel that the curriculum magnificently presents the TRUTH of the gospel.  You have done an outstanding job of making the issues simple enough for children to grasp while at the same time maintaining the integrity and truth of God’s word.

Please keep up the good work.  I can’t wait for more programs.”

Lisa W., Bethany Church, West Monroe, Lousiana

“I have really enjoyed your curriculum.  I think it’s good stuff with a lot of variety and plenty to pull from even if I don’t use it all. Thanks.”

Lori Y., New Life Church

“We have used your material twice and have been very happy with it.  We like the fact that you include Bible stories with each lesson.  We especially like the fact that you have pictures with the stories.  We normally copy those pictures on overhead projector sheets which we show during the story.  Often times we have a helper coloring those sheets while the story is read.  Gives the kids a focal point.  But we do love your material.  Keep up the good work.”

Marsha C., River of Life Family Church, Alton, IL”

“Dear Patricia, we so enjoyed the Psalm 91 curriculum and all my master teachers are asking if you have any other curriculum ready.”

From Sharon S., Grace Christian Fellowship, Fergus, Ontario

Meet the Author

Patricia Loranger  is from Ontario, Canada and she began developing Rocksolid Bible Story Curriculum in 1999 to teach her own children’s church class.

Patricia began to volunteer in children’s ministry in 1986 as a teenager.   At that time the Sunday School lesson format was very “sedentary” and uninspiring to her.  She left the experience believing that she was not called to children’s ministry.   A few years later though she attended a children’s ministry conference and experienced a children’s church curriculum format that was fast paced, funny and deeply spiritual.  God’s grace for children’s ministry was stirred within her and the creative writing for Sunday school lessons and puppet shows began.  As God would have it, Patricia moved from northern Ontario to southern Ontario and had the opportunity to be mentored for several years under the children’s minister that had inspired her.

When Patricia began heading up a ministry busing community children to the church, she realized the need for the cartoon bible stories which form the foundation of the curriculum.

Bible Stories for Kids (Family Devotions)

After Patricia had completed several volumes of children’s church curriculum each containing a cartoon bible story, it came into her heart to complete sections of the bible and offer these stories for families to have bible reading time together.  These picture bible stories for kids can be easily read from a cell phone, tablet or computer.  Each story ends in a prayer focusing on a theme learned in the biblical account.

Rocksolid Bible Story Curriculum is based upon the following beliefs:

  1. The scriptures Genesis through Revelation are the inspired Word of God. The scriptures show us God’s standards for our lives, teach us principles to live by and give us practical help. Each lesson is based upon a principle learned from a bible account.
  2. Jesus is the Son of God come in the flesh. He died by crucifixion and was raised from death three days later. He took the punishment for our sin. Faith in his sacrifice gives us eternal life and puts us into right standing with God.
  3. Jesus will come back to earth one day and those who have received him, will rise to meet him in the air. We should live ready to meet the Lord at any time.
  4. Each person needs to believe and receive Jesus as their Savior. The lessons lead children to personal faith in Christ.
  5. The Holy Spirit was poured out as described in the book of Acts, Chapter 2 and He is still among us. Believers need to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to have power to be witnesses for Jesus.
  6. God is good and the devil is bad. The lessons are geared to teach children that our true enemy is not people, but the devil. We should recognize his tactics and give no place to the devil.
  7. There is a Heaven and there is a Hell. We will be accountable for the life we have been privileged to live on this earth.

The Word of God is NOT too hard for children to understand.  There are many translations available at the reading level of younger people.  Below is a link to a blog outlining some of these good translations.
